Prusa MK4

EAN:
8594173671416

Description

The original Prusa Research MK4 offers high-speed 3D printing with ease and is as reliable as all Original Prusa 3D printers. It incorporates all the best features of the popular MK3 – an open-source 3D printing workhorse with easy maintenance and advanced safety features – and it goes even further!

Thanks to the load cell sensor (no manual adjustments required), the MK4 consistently delivers a perfectly smooth first layer. The Next-Gen Extruder (Nextruder) and the 32-bit platform bring numerous improvements to user experience, such as remote printing, quickly interchangeable nozzles, and a customizable user interface with an option for one-click printing.

High-speed printing with ease
Thanks to our proprietary implementation of Input Shaper and Pressure Advance technologies into the MK4's firmware, the printer can eliminate resonances during printing and predict filament flow. The result is a reduction in printing time by up to 70% compared to the MK3. Furthermore, the printer remains very quiet even at these speeds. Support for high-speed printing will be added later through a firmware update.

Perfect first layer on the first try
Thanks to the precise load cell sensor, the MK4 can automatically and without user input lay down a perfectly smooth and consistent first layer. At the beginning of the print, the printer taps the sheet with the nozzle in a grid-like pattern to measure the distance, and then calculates the correct offsets. The result is a perfect first layer on any surface without manual adjustments.

Nextruder with Breakout-Board

The extruder is the centerpiece of any 3D printer, and this one is special. With most 3D printers, replacing extruder components nowadays can be a quite complicated process. With the new connection board inside the Nextruder, all parts, such as fans, heaters, thermistors, etc., are directly connected there. If you need to replace something, it only takes a minute.

32-bit xBuddy Mainboard
Our new xBuddy Board is a 32-bit STM32 mainboard with many fantastic features. It includes several unique hardware-based safety systems, communicates with four thermistors, has all the essential ports (Ethernet, Wi-Fi, works with USB-A sticks), and more. The entire board was developed, manufactured, and tested in-house.

Color LCD screen and user-friendly interface.

The MK4 display supports G-code thumbnails, QR codes, and other elements that make using the printer much easier. Additionally, we have redesigned many of the existing menus and added a customizable footer. Directly below the LCD is an RGB status bar that indicates the current status of the printer. Next to the LCD is a USB-A port for standard USB sticks.

Quickly replaceable nozzles

Thanks to two quickly detachable thumbscrews on the side of the Nextruder housing that secure the nozzle in place, you can change the nozzles easier than ever. The MK4 uses special nozzles with an all-metal filament path (no PTFE tubes), enhancing the overall reliability of the printer. A simple Nextruder to V6 adapter is available.
