INDX 4-Tool Conversion Kit for CORE One L/L+
Description
Prusa INDX 4-Tool Conversion Kit for CORE One L / L+
The INDX conversion kit turns the Prusa CORE One L or CORE One L+ into a multi-material printer with four tools. Each filament is loaded in its own nozzle. A tool change takes only about 12 seconds and produces roughly 0.013 g of waste. No wipe tower, no pile of purged filament next to the printer.
Why a tool changer instead of a single nozzle?
- Almost no material waste: Instead of purging the nozzle on every change, only a tiny amount is extruded and wiped off.
- No color bleeding: Every material keeps its own path, for clean color edges from the first layer.
- Mixed nozzle sizes: 0.25 to 0.8 mm fitted in parallel, for coarse infill and fine details in the same print.
- Material combinations: rigid PC or PETG with flexible TPU, soluble supports in PVA/BVOH, functional parts with integrated soft grips.
- Heated chamber remains usable: up to 60 °C, so large ASA and PC parts print without warping.
The technology
- INDX Smart Head: dynamic extruder developed with Bondtech, with automatic tool changer and integrated accelerometer.
- Induction heating: The nozzle heats up contactlessly within seconds and cools down immediately in the dock, with no oozing.
- Passive tools: The parked nozzles contain no electronics. Affordable, robust and low-maintenance.
- Self-adjusting idler tension (Dual Drive DX): Switching from TPU to fiber-reinforced filaments without readjustment.
- Tool offset sensor: automatic offset calibration in about 15 seconds per toolhead, mounted outside the print area.
- Load cell bed measurement before every print, nozzle swaps without recalibration.

Installation notes
The conversion is a DIY upgrade: remove the extruder, mount the new components, calibrate. The required time is about 5–6 hours. The kit includes everything needed, including an illustrated step-by-step guide. When using the Advanced Filtration System, 70 mm of additional depth should be planned for.
The included nozzles are designed for non-abrasive materials. Guideline values before noticeable quality loss: approx. 10 kg PETG-CF, 5 kg PC-CF or 0.5 kg Prusament Ultraglow.
Prints are prepared in PrusaSlicer (Windows, macOS, Linux) or in the browser with EasyPrint, both free of charge.
Questions about compatibility or installation? As a certified Prusa partner in Berlin, we are happy to advise and can also carry out the conversion on request.
